AREAS OF FOCUS
Specialized Psychotherapy for Life's Challenges
People come to therapy with a wide range of concerns, experiences, and goals. While the areas below reflect some of the primary focuses of my practice, they are not an exhaustive list. I am trained to work with a broad range of emotional and relational concerns, and treatment is guided by a thoughtful understanding of the individual rather than by a diagnosis or category. Therapy is always tailored to your unique history, needs, and circumstances.
Individual Therapy
Personalized Support
Life's challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about ourselves and our relationships. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense of feeling stuck, therapy provides a confidential space to slow down, reflect, and better understand the underlying patterns shaping your emotional life. In our work together, we will explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you gain greater self-awareness, process unresolved emotional conflicts, and create meaningful, lasting change. The goal is not simply to relieve symptoms, but to cultivate a deeper sense of authenticity, resilience, and fulfillment.
Relationship & Attachment Therapy
Healing and Building Stronger Intimate Relationships
Our closest relationships often reflect deeply rooted patterns of attachment, communication, and emotional experience that have developed over a lifetime. Whether you are struggling with conflict, intimacy, trust, sexual issues, recurring relationship difficulties, or the challenges of maintaining a meaningful connection, therapy offers an opportunity to better understand the underlying dynamics shaping these experiences. Whether working with individuals or couples, our work together focuses on identifying and healing attachment patterns, increasing self-awareness, and fostering healthier ways of relating. Through this process, it becomes possible to build more authentic, secure, and fulfilling relationships.
Trauma-focused Therapy
Transforming the Impact of Unresolved Traumatic Experiences
Traumatic experiences can continue to shape our emotional lives long after they have occurred, often influencing our relationships, sense of self, and the ways we navigate the world. This is especially true with complex trauma, which may develop from chronic, repeated, or relational experiences, including emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, neglect, or environments in which safety, trust, and emotional needs were consistently unmet. Through a trauma-focused approach, we will work to understand how these experiences continue to influence present-day patterns, process unresolved emotional wounds, and create the conditions for meaningful and lasting change. As insight deepens, many people find themselves experiencing greater emotional freedom, resilience, and more authentic connections with themselves and those around them.
Executive & High Functioning Individual Therapy
Managing Workplace and Interpersonal Stress
Many executives and high-functioning individuals are outwardly successful yet privately contend with persistent stress, self-imposed pressure, relationship challenges, or a sense that something is missing despite their accomplishments. The demands of leadership and high performance can leave little space to reflect on the emotional patterns, expectations, and internal conflicts that shape daily life. For many, periods of professional uncertainty—including layoffs, career transitions, or the challenge of re-entering an increasingly competitive job market—can evoke anxiety, self-doubt, loss of identity, and a profound disruption to one's sense of stability and purpose. In our work together, we will explore these experiences in a thoughtful and confidential space, deepen your understanding of the underlying dynamics at play, and develop a more grounded and resilient way of navigating change. The goal is not simply to manage stress, but to cultivate greater balance, authenticity, and a deeper sense of fulfillment both personally and professionally.
Teen/Young Adult Therapy & Parental Communication
Helping teens, young adults, and parents, navigate change and connection.
Adolescence and young adulthood are periods of significant emotional, social, and developmental change that can bring challenges related to identity, self-esteem, anxiety, academic or career pressures, and increasing independence. At the same time, these transitions often place new demands on family relationships, making communication between parents and their children more complex. Therapy provides a thoughtful and supportive space to better understand the emotional experiences underlying these challenges, strengthen self-awareness, and foster healthier ways of relating to oneself and others. When appropriate, involving parents in the therapeutic process can deepen mutual understanding, improve communication, and strengthen the parent-child relationship. As new perspectives emerge, this work often becomes healing not only for the young person, but for parents as well, creating opportunities for greater connection, understanding, and growth within the family.
