About

Therapist's Approach

I am a psychotherapist dedicated to helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the emotional patterns that shape their lives. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful and lasting change emerges through self-awareness, reflection, and a therapeutic relationship where one feels genuinely understood.

Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, accomplished, and highly capable people who have achieved success in important areas of their lives, yet find themselves struggling internally. They may experience anxiety, relationship difficulties, persistent self-criticism, emotional disconnection, burnout, or a sense that something essential remains unresolved. Often, they have spent years carrying emotional burdens alone while appearing composed and successful to others.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and psychoanalytic, meaning we look beyond immediate symptoms to explore the deeper emotional experiences, unconscious patterns, and formative relationships that influence how you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others. By bringing these underlying dynamics into awareness, therapy can create opportunities for greater freedom, authenticity, and emotional well-being.

A significant part of my work involves helping individuals who carry the effects of trauma and complex trauma. Many people have learned to adapt to painful experiences by containing, minimizing, or distancing themselves from difficult emotions. While these adaptations may have once been necessary, they can later contribute to anxiety, relationship struggles, emotional numbness, self-doubt, or a persistent feeling of being stuck. Together, we create a space where these experiences can be understood, processed, and integrated rather than silently carried alone.

I strive to provide a calm, thoughtful, and collaborative environment where you can speak openly about what matters most. Therapy is not about quick solutions or surface-level advice. It is a process of discovering deeper truths about yourself, understanding longstanding emotional patterns, and developing a richer and more fulfilling way of living.

I work with adults facing a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression and lack of energy

  • Trauma and complex trauma

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Executive and professional burnout

  • Life transitions and career challenges

  • Questions of identity, meaning, and purpose

  • Longstanding emotional patterns that feel difficult to change

My clinical work is informed by extensive training, ongoing consultation, and a commitment to continued professional development. I believe that therapy offers a unique opportunity not only to alleviate suffering, but also to deepen one's understanding of oneself and cultivate a more meaningful, authentic life.

If you are considering beginning this process, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
